Lee’s Summit Greenway Master Plan & Update

Lee’s Summit, Missouri

Vireo prepared an update of the City’s Trail and Greenway Plan, covering the entire City of Lee’s Summit. The plan revised the 1997 master plan to correspond with current and anticipated growth patterns and resulted in public support for development of the KATY trail into Lee’s Summit. The plan also prioritized greenway construction projects, identified important natural resource corridors, and created greenway development standards. Vireo led the planning, mapping, public involvement and coordination with the City’s stormwater management program.
