Shoal Creek Parkway

Shoal Creek Parkway is part of Kansas City’s famous Parkway and Boulevard system and transitions from urban to rural/suburban sections. Vireo was responsible for designing the connectivity of various segments, including I-435 west to N Brighton and an alignment investigation study for the final segment from North Brighton to NE 108th Street. Vireo also led public engagement and evaluated potential impacts on streams within the Shoal Creek watershed. Vireo then designed appropriate water quality Best Management Practices (BMPs) to address these impacts.
