Johnson County Park & Recreation Department Natural Resource Plan

Vireo worked with the Johnson County Park and Recreation District (JCPRD) to develop a Natural Resource Plan to guide strategic investments in natural areas and parklands. JCPRD manages over 10,000 acres of parkland, of which 81% is in natural areas, trails, and water; and 19% is active parkland. An integrated and comprehensive foundation of data, best practices, and effective strategies within the plan will help conservation, restoration, and management of natural areas for the benefit of current and future generations.
