Lee’s Summit has emerged as one of the most desirable places to live, work and raise a family in the KC metro area, but a real need for affordable and inclusive housing has been identified. Vireo recently helped the Lee’s Summit Housing Authority (LSHA) develop a five-year strategic plan through a facilitated process that engaged the city’s Board of Commissioners, staff, residents, selected City officials, and community organizations. The final plan addresses the wide range of needs for inclusive housing while planning for significant growth.
