Lincoln Civic Plaza

Vireo was selected as the landscape architect to implement the design of internationally renowned artist Jun Kaneko of Omaha, NE. Designed by the artist to be the ‘living room’ of downtown Lincoln’s entertainment district, the approximate 20,000SF plaza features a 56’ high European built ‘tower of light’. An abstracted ‘stage’ for public performances, bench planters and shade trees accentuate the space. Adjacent restaurants have embraced the public plaza with outdoor cafes to enliven the space.
